ARSENAL VS TOTTENHAM
And that is the stand out match this weekend. Usually, Arsenal own this fixture but in recent times, the pendulum has swung towards the team in white. My prediction is 2-1 to Arsenal.
Anyway, why is it always special when Arsenal play Tottenham? Over recent seasons, the league fixtures at the Emirates have provided special moments of joy and sadness.

Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham
Goalless after the break, the game exploded into life when Adebayor side footed Fabregas' backheel into the bottom corner. Then, Dimitar Berbatov equalised. Manuel Almunia then saved Robbie Keane's penalty, but it wasn't him who stole the headlines. With 14 minutes to go, Emmanuel Eboue came off for Nicklas Bendtner. It was the Dane's first taste at this derby. Seconds later, the ball was in the net. Bendtner met Fabregas' corner with his first touch to score what proved to be the crucial winner.

Arsenal 4-4 Tottenham
In this pulsating encounter, David Bently scored a volley from forty yards out that somehow beat Almunia, but Arsenal responded with Mikael Silvestre who headed in Robin van Persie's corner. 1-1 at half time, William Gallas nodded in a van Persie free kick, before Adebayor toggled the Gunners into a healthy position. Darren Bent gave Tottenham some hope but van Persie scored almost immediately after. With the score 4-2 until the 88th minute, Jermaine Jenas shot into the top corner before Aaron Lennon basked himself in glory by slotting in the equaliser at the death.

Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham
This game would be known as the "11 seconds derby". In a relatively even first half, van Persie touched home Sagna's low cross to make it 1-0. Then as Tottenham kicked off, van Persie won the ball and and passed to Fabregas, who evaded fruitless tackles to go through and score. There had been exactly 11 seconds of playing time between the first goal and the second. After the interval, the Gunners added the gloss to the scoreline after van Persie tapped in another Sagna cross.

Arsenal 2-3 Tottenham
This marked the official turning point in Tottenham's record over Arsenal. Their first win at the Emirates. Samir Nasri had gotten on the end of Fabregas' lobbed pass before getting past Huerlho Gomes and scoring from a tight angle. The match looked to be a cruise when Marouane Chamakh scored from Arshavin's cross. But in the second half, Gareth Bale pulled a goal back before Rafael van der Vaart scored from the spot. Then a late Younes Kaboul header won the match for the visitors.
