It was a big final group stage round in the Champions League. Arsenal lost 3-1 against Olympiacos. It was a meaningless match for Arsenal as it was already confirmed they would finish top of their group. Chelsea beat Valencia 3-0 and ran out group winners too. But the stand out result was:
FC Basel 2-1 Manchester United FC
This meant that the Red Devils were knocked out of the Champions League, along with Manchester City. Poor Manchester clubs.
I know Kieren must be feeling really sad now so I'll end this soon, but first, let me congratulate the following teams for reaching the Round of 16:
Bayern Munich
Napoli
Inter
CSKA Moskva
Benfica
FC Basel
Real Madrid
Lyon
Chelsea
Bayer Leverkusen
Arsenal
Marseille
APOEL FC
Zenit St. Petersburg
Barcelona
Milan
